If you arrive in the afternoon and drive out the next morning, you will have seen an airport road and a hotel breakfast. There is a half-day in this city worth taking - and because we are based here rather than in Cape Town or Frankfurt, it is the part of your trip we can arrange most directly.

Penduka means 'wake up'. It is a co-operative that trains women from marginalised communities in crafts and enterprise. Take the short tour of the workshops, or stay half a day and do it with your hands - batik, beadwork, Oshiwambo cooking, and lunch with the women who made it.
